Project Spotlight: Transitional Beauty

Showcase Kitchens gave this Manhasset, NY family the beautiful transitional kitchen they had always wanted. Showcase owner John Starck applied his vision for a beautiful and functional kitchen by opening up the space to the family room and expanding the footprint of the space to include the glass-enclosed eat-in area. As the project interior designer, Rhonda Scharf completed this picture-perfect transitional kitchen by selecting eye-catching furnishings. The homeowner is thrilled that the new design provides “calm in the middle of the daily chaos,” and that she “doesn’t even mind emptying the dishwasher anymore.”

This transitional kitchen includes undercounter storage, a Calacatta marble composite countertop and Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. Attractive transitional furnishings via Rhonda Scharf Designs finish off the space.

The center island sink adds to easy dinner prep, while the glass-enclosed eating nook brings joy to every family meal.

The kitchen opens to the family room under an arched entry. The backsplash, a discontinued Artistic Tile colorway, was remade for this project.

The beverage station includes glass shelving behind glass cabinet doors along with the Sub-Zero wine storage.

The kitchen includes high performance appliances and a custom designed range hood.
