I am so sad to hear about the passing of Ellen Cheever! I don’t know that I can count how many seminars and schools I attend that Ellen was the speaker, or one of the speakers. Ellen was such a classy lady, and I feel so lucky to have gotten to know Ellen through our work with NKBA. I still use a few tips from Ellen’s presentations. 1) Try to tackle your least favorite task first. The rest of the tasks will feel easy. 2) Only handle a piece of paper once, and 3) once you’ve cleaned up your desk at the end of the, do 1 more thing. Make a phone call, read an industry article, etc. I can’t say that I’m religious about these things, but I try, and I think of Ellen everytime I use one of these tips. Rest In Peace Ellen. 🙁
