Janice Costa is the founder of KB Designers Network. She is excited to be at the helm of KB Designers Network, forging an exclusive community for the talented, creative professionals who populate the kitchen and bath industry. Formerly editor of Kitchen & Bath Design News, where she provided editorial content and direction for the magazine for more than 26 years, Janice had the opportunity to facilitate communication and education in the kitchen and bath industry in myriad ways, from writing and editing articles, speaking at trade events and judging design competitions to serving on trend panels, conducting industry research and speaking about design trends on local and national TV.

Janice has edited numerous books for the National Kitchen & Bath Association and served on the NKBA Hall of Fame committee. She has spoken about design trends, both here and abroad, and has authored two books in the kitchen and bath field, “Everything and the Kitchen Sink: Remodel Your Kitchen Without Losing Your Mind,” with Daina Manning, and “Grand Master Baths.”

A strong proponent of promoting the kitchen and bath industry to consumers, Janice has shared industry and trend insights with all the major consumer media, including Forbes.com, USA Today, The New York Times, HGTV.com, U.S. News & World Report, The Washington Post, CNN and various morning shows across the country. She has hosted more than half a dozen Satellite Media Tours, speaking about kitchen and bath design and product trends to millions of TV viewers from coast to coast.

Additionally, Janice has developed and hosted webcasts, online forums, website content and online videos, and she believes that the best way to serve the market is to provide a broad array of information services across the widest possible array of platforms. This belief – that connection is critical, and that technology can allow for greater communication and connection within our industry – is central to the development of KB Designers Network.

A Cornell University graduate, Janice is also an avid pet lover who is active with the therapy dog program, animal rescue, competitive dock diving, teaching Canine CPR classes and hosting an annual dog vacation camp for dog lovers which has raised nearly $50,000 for animal charities to date. She has three dogs, and combines her love of dogs and design by speaking about pet-friendly design at various consumer events, and writing about the topic for magazines like The Bark and FIDO Friendly.
